Arrive in Beijing — Welcome to China
Arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport where your friendly guide and driver are waiting. Transfer to your comfortable 4-star hotel near the city centre. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest after your long journey or explore the nearby streets. In the evening, meet your fellow travellers and guide over a welcome dinner of succulent Peking duck, Beijing's most famous culinary export.
Beijing — Great Wall & Forbidden City
Today is a blockbuster day of sightseeing. Start at Tiananmen Square, the symbolic heart of modern China, before entering the Forbidden City through the Gate of Heavenly Peace. Spend the morning exploring the vast palace complex with its 9,999 rooms, golden-roofed halls, and imperial gardens. After lunch, travel to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Ride the cable car to the top and walk along this magnificent 2,000-year-old fortification, snaking across forested ridges as far as the eye can see. Beijing — Temple of Heaven & Bullet Train to Xi'an

Booking Conditions
A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required to secure your booking. Final payment is due 60 days before departure. Cancellations more than 60 days prior receive a refund minus the deposit. Between 30 and 60 days, 50% is refunded. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.
Visa Requirements
US citizens require a visa to enter China. We provide comprehensive visa support documentation including invitation letters and confirmed itinerary. Please apply at least 4 weeks before departure. Visa application fees are payable directly to the Chinese consulate and are not included in the tour price.
Health & Fitness
This tour involves a considerable amount of walking, including stairs and uneven surfaces. The Great Wall in particular requires a moderate level of fitness. Please inform us of any health conditions or mobility concerns at the time of booking so we can advise on suitability and make any necessary arrangements.
Single Traveller Supplement
Prices are based on twin-share accommodation. Single travellers may pay a supplement of $690 for a private room. Alternatively, we can attempt to pair you with a same-sex roommate. If no roommate is available, the single supplement will be charged.
Itinerary Variations
We endeavour to operate all tours as advertised, but minor changes may occasionally be necessary due to weather, local conditions, or operational factors. Any significant itinerary changes will be communicated to travellers promptly. Optional activities and personal expenses are not included unless specified.
